Writer's Workshop

Hostessed by the fatabulously hilarious Mama Kat!
YES! I know hostessed isn't a word... but it should be :-p

The Prompts:

1.) The last time I laughed really hard...

2.) Forgive and forget...I think.

3.) I remember when...

4.) Write about something that bothered you this week.

5.) Write a poem about a favorite color.

Yay! I'm feeling full of it so I'm gonna do all five. What!?! HA!

1) The last time I laughed really hard it had something to do with a horse kicking up its legs and passing gas on America's Funniest Home Videos. I know, I am so mature... so mature in fact that I put my DVR to good use and watched the incident approximately 43 times. Seriously, I was CRYING and the kids were begging me to not go back again. Poor things. Oh the humanity! Sometimes ya just gotta let loose.

2) Forgive and forget especially when it comes to your kids being kids. I'm sure they didn't mean to clog the toilet giving their stuffed bunny toy a swirly bath. And I'm sure they didn't want to break that window pane fighting over whose turn it was to help Mommy sweep. I know the little darlings did not intend to spill milk on the carpet, drop eggs on the linoleum, and empty three boxes of cereal onto the table... they were just trying to help with breakfast. And when you are changing your shirt for the third time this morning because the kiddles mistook it for a towel once again it really is best to forgive and forget and move on ... I think.

*shrug*

Kids will be kids.

3) I remember when I was skinny and I didn't even think so at the time, but I WAS! I felt good, I looked good, I worked out, I was fit, and I fit into EVERYTHING in my closet. What happened!?! Don't remind me... I know, I know, four kids later... but is that really an excuse? NO WAY! I just spent so much time taking care of everyone else that I have forgotten to take care of myself. *sigh* pppptptptppbpbpbpbbbbttt

4)This week I was bothered by many things I'm sure. All so significantly life changing that I have completely forgotten what they are. Oh wait... see prompt 2. At least I have the forgiven part down.

5)My favorite color is blue.

Acrostic Blue

Balmy

Languid

Utopian bliss,

Ethereal.

Haiku Blue

Peace big as the sky.

Eternally flows the cool.

Floating, eyes closed, blue.

Rhyming Prose Blue

Its not easy being blue.

Such sadness expected of you.

When all I really want to do

Is take a moment or two

and be myself when its all through.

Eh, that last one wasn't so hot :-p

But I'm just plain worn out!

Happy reading!

Adult Deprived - I love your profile cartoon. That really says it all. :) I have two dogs and at times feel that way, I can't imagine what kids will do to me. Thanks for visiting my blog. I had to laugh at your horse passing gas on funniest home videos memory, because I actually got to see that in real life with a neighbors horse... and it was JUST AS FUNNY. We were kids, jumping on our trampoline, and looked over to this raucus going on in the field next to us and couldn't believe it. We laughed for hours it was so bizarre.

I love AFV. I watch it all the time and find it hilarious, even though I know it's totally stupid. And great poems.

I loved #2, because I totally related to it. All of it. It sounds like almost every morning I experience just now. Awesome!

Excellent. Enjoyed the forgive & forget especially. Suddenly having a baby in the house after 12 years has been a messy experience for me!
