Watch Me Wednesday

Well, for crying out loud...

so much for being sympathetic to mother nature...no... God's creation.

Just to clear things up Black Widows are not vicious man eaters... OK, yes, the female eats the male after mating but hasn't every one of us women felt that way at least once in our life. Lets cut the girl some slack, huh. A black widow is not particularly fast moving if you're not another insect. We had spent so much time looking at her and talking about her that I just didn't feel particularly right about squishing this ONE spider.

As I said, any other spider would have been toast. I was just taking advantage of the teachable moment. The beauty and uniqueness of one of God's creatures, and then a lesson in compassion.

I promise it won't happen again... (now where did i put that 'eyeroll' smiley)

;-)

And now, on to the show...

There is a near nightly event which occurs in my home that may baffle the mind of the mere mortal in us all. A collection and release of so much spontaneous energy that it puts atom splitting to shame.

Usually after dinner, in the calm before the storm, a slight rumble begins to swell somewhere in the living room. A giggle here, a snort there, then like a herd of wild horses spooked by thunder,

they are off...

If you got dizzy or nauseous from watching this I do apologize.

As I mentioned in yesterdays post, I am going to pick up my parents at the airport. I will have to leave the house before dinner in order to do this. My Love is a very hard working man and I sometimes feel guilty about abandoning him with the kids after he has had such a long day at work. (and after watching the video you can see why) I usually get at least one night out by myself to buy groceries but this week he is going above and beyond the call of duty. He insists that he doesn't mind and that I deserve the time away but I thought I would do something special for him nonetheless.

Thank You My Love :-D

Cookies! Yes!! Since my daughter and her 3 children (13, 10 & 3) have been staying with us for the past couple of months, I can sort of relate to the "chaos" you all may feel....our 3 year old goes non-stop and has been more than I can handle at times!! I clearly need a break, yet just doing what a mom and grandmom would do for her kids to help out....

Oh, TOO CUTE! Who knew you had 25 cute kids?? Seriously, they are adorable. Little Baby Girl in pink--is she whinnying? And the littlest one reminds me of Cindy Lou Who!

Cute!!! I just love your kids (and you two, too)!! : D

Okay, I've gotta giddy-up and go hog-tie the dishes from dinner. Heigh-Ho Horsey Away! [gallop, gallop, gallop ...]

p.s.
I have captured a "golden pink" sunset for tomorrow's post -- I know that's Eden's favorite color (mine TOO).
