Writer's Workshop

Writer's Workshop is Hosted by Mama Kat over at Mama's Losin' It. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll hurl... maybe not that last one but the first two for sure. Visit there to see more of Writer's Workshop and to read about Kat's crazy game of Scrabble.

Ok... here we go... I will do this fast... because I'm tired and I want to go to bed.

So #2 because I'm tired enough to not read past that. #2... appropriate since my entire day revolves around poo. But no worries... this post is not about that.

2.) Describe in detail a person who leaves no stone unturned.

Its me... I am the one who leaves no stone unturned. Mainly when a piece of a set is missing. It drives me insane and I will turn the house upside down looking for that idiotic pony shoe, or the yellow marker, or the jellyfish card... I even go as far as to yell, "NO ONE DOES ANYTHING UNTIL THAT BLUE M IS FOUND AND STICKING TO THE FRIDGE WITH THE REST OF THE LETTERS!!!!!" Seriously it must be some kind of brain glitch because I connot relax until I find that piece. I may be somewhat of a control freak but in most areas I have learned to let it go. I mean, I will let the entire house sink into a state of utter disrepair but let that Little People polar bear go missing and I am a woman on a mission. No one eats or sleeps or plays or bathes until the bear is found! GOT IT!

Don't judge me.

Order must be restored, or the cosmos will unravel. Or maybe the asteroid belt is made up of all the missing toy pieces that we parents end up looking for. I mean really where does all that crap go?? The same place my missing sock laundry goes!! Damn socks!! Really funny post, I, too, can see you on that mission! GB!

Too funny!! Did you ever see that episode of 'Friends' where Monica tried to prove that she wasn't OCD and could leave things messy? She nearly exploded... that's what this post reminded me of :)

LOL! No judgement here......I can be the same way. I'm hyper organized so when something goes missing I have a hard time waiting for it to reappear!

Hee hee hee... I do the same thing! I will tear the house up looking for some random meaningless trinket! I've been reduced to tears at times if I can't find it!

I was just about to do a post on a missing jacket. I think you've inspired me to go ahead and write about the lunacy of the hunt. Don't you wonder sometimes, as I do about myself, what brought you to this? I mean what has God wrought in a human who would stop the world for a Little People Polar Bear?

LOL!! I don't judge you. Not at all. My husband and I both tend to be just like that. And our eldest seems to have taken on the behaviour. I hope we all outgrow it, though ... we spend a lot of time searching out missing toys!

Very funny. A magnet Nazi. Those little letters used to drive me nuts, too. I used to be equally compulsive until my husband taught me two things:

1. Don't worry. When you stop looking for it, it'll show up... and

2. Pray to St. Anthony

It may be a teensy bit OCD.

But I do it too. Yesterday I tore the house UP looking for my post its.

Never found them.

I don't want to talk about it.

Too funny but so I so understand. I have to be the last one in bed at night to make sure everything is perfect. And I was that way with my daughter's toys as a baby. I even had a special way of putting her play food in the play kitchen. Awesome Post!!!
