Project 365~Feb 1-7

Now that I am caught up I can concentrate on one week at a time. There are days when I find it difficult to find a photo opportunity and other days where I barely put the camera down.

February 1st Kiah is all ready to take her baby carrot Sparky class to Awanas for 'Dress a Veggie' Night. I had actually forgotten about it until almost bed time the night before and I realized the only "veggie" I had (that was not frozen) were baby carrots. It worked out rather well though. We glued on the eyes, vests, and buttons Saturday night, then painted on the hair after church on Sunday. Her Sparky teacher (The one on the furthest left with the gray hair and glasses) liked it so much that Kiah let her keep it. Kiah is the one all the way to the right.

February 2nd Flip is checking out the pup-tent. AHHHhhhhahahahahahahahHAHAHAHA! I slay me. :-p

February 3rd I took a pic of the storebought get well cards I recieved. The one on the left is from some friends at CampusLife and the one on the right is from Linda @ 2nd cup... both cards had me in stitches ...AHHHHHHAHAHAHAhahahahahah!!!!! There I go again... how do I come up with this stuff... it just flows forth from me.

February 4th we decide to make some Valentines for the neighbor who, a couple times a week, gives the kids a treat when we walk by during our daily stroll. His sister is in town and she is a retired nurse who just loved the kids, who she dubbed "The Dolls".

February 5th I do occassinally get carried away while trying to catch that perfect shot and I follow the kids around just watching them through the little digital screen. I love the color of Marli's eyes in this pic... like milk chocolate. And her expression is just priceless. I can almost hear her thinking, "golly mom, put that thing away already."

February 6th this was the first year we let the kids watch Home Alone at Christmas time. Now James is obsessed with setting little traps everywhere to catch the "bad guys" who is usually me. Here is a trap he set in the doorway between my room and the masterbath. And yes, I DID step on it before I saw it.

February 7th My Love had a few things to do in town between working in the morning and volunteering in the afternoon so he decided we should all go. I was glad he did because who doesn't like going to the dump!?! After we dropped our load of garbage we stopped for lunch at a local greasy spoon called Humpty Dumpty. Ironically it is nicknamed "the Dump" by its most loyal of patrons. So we spent our day going from dump to dump. While waiting for our food Kiah drew this lovely family portrait. I think she was having a good day. :-D

Your pictures are great. You have quite the artist on your hands. I will have to tell my church about the dress a veggie. Great idea. I teach the Cubbies at my AWANA. It is a wonderful program.

you are so creative to think of the carrots for the Awana's project! so cute too!! enjoyed your week in pictures; they were all adorable; I have to say I didn't think a pup would actually be in a pup tent; that caught me by surprise

and silly me, I do like going to the dump; something cleansing to rid yourself of that junk

I'm glad you are doing good

Oh and those baby carrots were the cutest things ever. You are SO creative. I don't have any vegetables in the house that aren't frozen. Well, I do have some onions...
