ABC, Wordful, and Watch Me Wednesday ~ A Triple Threat ~ N'Stuff

Would it be weird for me to go to the movies by myself to see Coraline? I think it looks good and I want to see it. We just don't have the time or $ to make a date of it unless we wait until April (our next scheduled date night), but by then it probably won't be in theaters anymore.

My poor Jamesy wamesy. He is afraid of the rain. Not being in it but hearing it from his room at night. He doesn't want to be in there alone but when we let one of the girls sleep in there they end up giggling about parts all night. Finally I just let him leave his main light on and I told him that when he falls asleep to turn it off. I'm not sure how he works that out but he gets that light out every night.

Have you seen this new series of Jack-in-the-Box commercials. Jack is brought into an ER with X's for eyes and a dent in his head, then..... he flatlines. I guess now he is in a coma...

Is anyone else worried!?!

No, I didn't think so.

Who thinks of this stuff?

AND, why didn't I think of it first.

Couldn't I have been the inventor of something like those little plastic tabs that keep bread bags closed?

Why didn't I think of the post-it note?

What was I doing when .com was invented???

All this lamenting because I need to pick up a little something at night and in this economy I can't be picky... Who am I kidding... I don't even have the mad SKILLS to pick and choose. I rock at customer service but I need something at night so I can continue to homeschool. I know, I'm nuts but it's important to us. I haven't hit the gas station/minimarts yet... we'll see if I can get in at Jack's place first. That is, if he makes it :-/

My preference is Longs or Safeway so pray with me to that end.

Today is the letter G.

G is for Gorgeous George.

Thats right, he is My Love. The light of my life. The one who puts up with my antics, mood swings, manic states and irrational fits of laughter. He is sweet, sensitive, supportive, spiritual... oops, maybe I should use adjectives that start with G... He is gweet, gensitive, gupportive, giritual, good to me in every way... My Love, My George.

This is the storybook Kiah made for Grandma for her birthday. She came up with the idea and made it all by herself.

I love it, and Grandma loves it. It has potential.

Not the typical Wordful Wednesday, but its MY blog, LOL!

Watch Me Wednesday

Here is a video of Grandma and Kiah reading the book together.

Happy Wednesday!

I won't think you're wierd for wanting to see it as long as you don't think I'm wierd for being to afraid too. Alice in Wonderland scared me too!

First off, that ICU and Mr. Box...ya, what is that all about you wonder? We were just there the other day and there were posters all over the windows that had "hang in there Jack".

Then, the book for Grandma. That so touched my heart!!!! If I were "Grannie" I'd keep this forever and ever!!!!

Happy Wordful Wednesday.

hey! thanks for stopping by! I'm glad to know someone misses me :)
I've been thinking of reviving the blog. I just don't know if I want to commit to the time it takes as I'm stretched thin as it is. Maybe I'll give it a trial run for the month of March and see where it goes.
Anywho, I've been reading your blog daily so I haven't left you! You totally crack me up and I was so happy to see your coffee mug when the ugly mug contest. Good times!

Sweet book and I'm sure it's something Grandma will always treasure!

Good luck on the job hunt. We don't have "Jack" around here, so I've not seen those commercials.

Hubs and I were trying to figure out those commercials too....will be praying for you and the job search or for something to take care of your financial needs!

Karyn said...

Love, love, love the book! Especially the way they 'get down'!

I'll pray for you to find a part-time job.....good for you to try to keep up with the home education. It is worth it, believe me.

I loved seeing the book, but the video of grandma reading it is just priceless☺

That grandma storybook is just the sweetest thing I have ever seen. What a treasure that Kiah is. :D

I miss you! We never talk anymore, and if you enter the world of working for the man like I have, we will probably talk even less! Dang it!

Good luck with the job hunt.

Hey, my mom added this comment about the pill thing,

"You may want to correct your statement about giving things rectally.
They should not give anything caustic such as aspirin or ibuprophen.
Only those things that don't have to be taken on afull stomach are the
things you can give rectally. By the way we are fine. Sorry about
your day. Mom"

Wanted to make sure you saw this. Love ya, D

Oh and go for it. The first movie I ever went to by myself was "Muppet Christmas Carol" I loved it, it was just as fun alone... you don't talk during a movie... More people should go to the movies alone, then there would be less talking... sorry tirade there...

Loved the Grandma book! While your Gorgeous George is a great "G", it could also have been for Grandma. Grandma will cherish that forever.

My husband goes to the movies by himself sometimes--it's not weird! I just don't like spending $$$ to go and sit with him through something I don't want to see (I hate war movies)

Love the Grandma book!! Maybe someday she will be a famous author...

Well just the other day I was dithering over a problem and I looked around for a rainbow to get me out of it. It worked! I now see Kiah and I think alike . . . and based on that delightful book, I'M THRILLED to be in her league! Let the little children lead. Does she have any ideas what I should serve for dinner tonight? ; D

This is one of my laughin' spots -- I love it here.

I've been meaning to google and see if Jack, the owner is really ill. I hope not. But I do love those commercials.
What about ad space on your blog? Do those things actually pay good money? I'll pray for you getting a job.
Also, love the book. Oh! And totally go to the movie by yourself. And, hey! Take your diaper bag so you can sneak in some popcorn and candy. At least, that's what I'd do...But I'm kinda sneaky that way! Have fun!

I wasn't crazy about Coraline. It kind of freaked me out. And basically, I didn't really get the deeper message. That made me sad because clearly that means I am not that bright?

I have a question about homeschooling. I don't want you to think I am a jerk, but I always wondered what the advantage to it was. I totally understand that you can incorporate more Godly world views, but can't I do that when my child comes home from his school at night. Isn't that what I am doing when we have devotions and pray? I hope you won't be mad that I asked. I just always wondered.

You have so much in one post I forget what I want to say by the time I get down here to post!

"MMMM" "Oh, those are birds." completely cracked me UP! What a cute, beautiful family you have, Becky. This video makes me long for a grandchild, but I'm so far from that. (Please, God.)

Go to the movie. OH, how I wish I could go with you!

My George has a goatee, too.

Guess that's it. Great stuff!
