Squeaking In

Caution:
Some things mentioned in this post
are not for the faint of heart.

I'll give you a hint.

So the other night I bought some mice as food for our snakes. I got six HUGE, fat, adult, white mice. Candy (our largest snake) was not feeling well as she was preparing to shed. I guess for them its kind of like PMS... except they end up shedding their skin. LOL... ok, I'll stop.

Anyway, Only two of the mice were consumed by the other two snakes so we, for now, have four mice in residence. Last night I heard some squeaking and rustling from the cage where they are currently residing. I looked in only to find them all fighting over one dog biscuit. THERE WERE FOUR OTHER BISCUITS IN THE CAGE!!! Enough for all but they all had to fight over that one.

It reminded me of my kids. I bet all those mice are brothers and sisters. If one kid has it the rest want it. This is a common battle in our home since I refuse to buy everything in fours. Besides I think it is important for each child to have there OWN individual things. I wish they felt the same way.

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Everything is fine, just preoccupied and not in the mood to write. I must be getting ready to shed. :-p

Pretty funny. But you were nice to prepare us for the shock! Ack! Snakes eating mice! It's 6:25 am, and I am in a dark room lit up only by the computer screen, and now I'm imagining slithering. Chills.

A snake...did I read right? A snake!? Oh, my goodness! I would not even be able to function if I knew I had a snake (pet or otherwise) in the house!

God love ya!

I don't do snakes. The only consolation for me in your story was that the snakes were eating mice. I don't do mice either. LOL

Funny stuff! We used to have snakes (and geckoes galore). Those never bothered me - not even during feeding time. Still, I'm glad we switched over to warm and fuzzy pets back when we started filling our house with kids. ;)

You have a pet snake? OMG you have so slipped off your pedestal! YUK YUK YUK, I hate snakes, and spiders. Rats on the other hand can make quite docile and interesting pets. Poor little thing waiting for there death of terror!
I can really carry on huh?
Prednisone can do that to a person.

What kind of snake? Ick. I love all amphibians...but not in my house as pets. We're the catch, play with, and release sort of family. EXCEPT SNAKES!!!

Glad to hear everything is O.K. Sometimes not being in the mood to write means your brain needs a break from the computer! My BIL had snakes and tarantulas as pets, so he was always purchasing mice. EEW.

Hi Becky,

So glad you stopped by my blog! Come back anytime!

I must admit, I am not a snake person. I can admire them from afar (way far away!), but I can't imagine having them in my home...no thank you!

Have a great Thursday! :)

Becky,

Snakes! I think not! Just kidding! I have touched a snake before (I still can't believe I had the determination) and they really are not at all like I expected.

MIND OVER MATTER, right?

Snakes are OK with me if they're outside!

Green frogs are another story!!!!!!!!!!!!! That, I'll NOT do!
