If your kids are like my kids then they love to paint. Nothing in particular, mind you. The verb paint is used loosely to describe the act of slathering innocent reams of printer paper with as much wet, sloppy color as they can hold.
Yes, I said reams. I have REAMS of painted paper. Piles. Mountains. SO in honor of My Love's birthday I decided to utilize my wealth of water color paintings. We started with making some hand prints...
...and putting them together for a birthday banner.
No birthday is complete without a handmade card. No pun intended :-p

ReplyDeleteStudmuffin's birthday is Sunday...I've done nothing for it. He bought himself some sort of fancy battery for his boat...Bookworm made him a coaster in art...Popcorn is like me: She doesn't mean to be considerate, she just never THINKS about it!
ReplyDeleteOh, and saving art...I'm a big tosser. I got in trouble today for trashing a paper for the gifted and talented program's play they are doing for kindergarden...I had very little sympathy. Everyone in this house knows I trash any paper left out. Luckily for them I trash it in recycle bins to be saved!
I just love that birthday banner and card. What a great idea. My daughter is now 15 and I just stored all of her artwork in a bin so when she gets older we can look through it and remember all the fun we had doing them.

ReplyDeleteI store all the extra homework in boxes int he garage until we look at it years later, keep some, then store it again. Years later we do the same thing again until we end up with just a little bit of the really special things.
